my full time job should be thrift shopping.
serioulsy.
i have NO shame in buying things that are on sale or used..or both! Sometimes the most amazing things you can buy are things that cost the least.
Which is why i LOVE when DIttos for Kiddos comes around.
A giant room, full of some awesome deals, sounds great right ?!
MINUS the pushy moms and grandmas..............
the at LEAST two hour line you will wait in to check out...............
the fact that its in a huge cement room .............
and you feel like you're covered head to foot in dust by the time you leave.........
its awesome!
The regular dittos peeps know that you have to pregame. People come up with some crazy contraptions to carry their clothes in...i opted for an empty stroller.
But I still dont know any way to get get better prepared than this...
RIGHT?! i mean...ya just cant beat it.
This year there was a whole group of us that went together..so much more fun that way..you get to show everyone all the cute things you found!
Me, Megan, Brittany, Lauren and Natalie
(who came ALL the way from Ft. Worth to go with us..its become kind of a tradition...and I was SO happy to see her! I've missed her so much! )
Unfortunately there are no pictures of Brittany or Lauren for me to post. They both gave me the stuff they found and left me standing in line FOR them...I know..I'm so nice.
Imagine this.... x 10 ! And thats just to get in!

But then you get to dig threw this! Of course, Megan always comes along to shop. Even though she doesnt have a kid to buy for haha. But she is SUCH a big help. While we look for practical everyday school clothes and what not...Megan...digs for the designer duds. She never fails to produce some sort of rediculously adorable designer outfit for me to buy! Thanks Megan for all the help. Next year, we'll shop for baby Gibbs!

(this is only 1/4 of the room...AH so much stuff )
I always feel sorry for people that have little boys when things like this come around. Little boys just go threw clothes like nobodys business. They play SO much harder than little girls and it shows! Lauren and Brittany didnt find much for their little men...but me and Natalie found TONS for our little girls!

atleast Meg got one thing she could use!

i dont think ive ever met a pregnant lady who DIDNT own that book.
Needless to say it was a very successfull shopping trip for Me. Or really..for Shayne!
She loved going threw all her new clothes, mostly dresses. She oooed and aaaahed over them all. Made the waiting and waiting aaaaand waiting TOTALLY worth it.
( all this...for $100 ! )
But the BEST part of the trip this year was this. THIS simple little dress is going to become Shayne's easter dress this year. I have been looking and looking at website after website and even though i found a couple dresses I really liked, they just weren't what I wanted.
I wanted vintage. Casual. Classic. Timeless.
And that is exactly what this is going to be. Of course its going to require some work...but it will get there. I'm very excited.

oh...and did i mention i only paid $2 for it ?!
Be ready for a future blog about this little dress .
All in all...an awesome night of friends & shopping! Cant wait for the next one!
I'm glad one of us made out like a bandit!! Thanks for standing in line for me, love! I should probably come get my stuff from the back of your car!
